Jazz provides services beyond the traditional ensemble as
entertainment.
We also give lessons, compose sound tracks for movies, and even act as
guides to the
treasure trove of jazz happenings in the New York Metropolitan area!

Lessons

| Just
Jazz musicians are not only the top musicians in New York
City but are also valued teachers in both the local and national
music community. Many of our musicians earned degrees from the
best music schools in the country, including the Berklee
College of Music (in Boston) and Julliard
(here in NYC). Subsequently, many have gone on to secure
teaching positions in most music schools in the tri-state area,
such as the New School, the Mannes College of Music, City College,
Long Island University, William Paterson College, etc.
Our musicians are always available
for private lessons on any instrument, as well as group clinics.

New York City is located far from Hollywood, our musicians have
been called upon from time to time to compose original material
for film scores. If you are looking for jazz composers to collaborate

Jazz in New York City |
| Many
times we are asked by those visiting New York City, "Where
can we go to see great jazz music?" We love giving
directions to both the main attractions and the little
out-of-the-way scenes tucked away in all five boroughs.
To begin with, you can visit our

page for ideas on the major clubs that have web pages. As
is always the case, some of the best attractions are the hardest
to find. Send us a note telling us your budget and what kind
of jazz you want to see (for instance, straight-ahead, big band,
latin-jazz), and we'll respond with some suggestions. (Please
call if you are a last-minute planner, as our response time
to e-mail is limited to within 24 hours). |
