DESERET NEWS AND TELEGRAM, Salt Lake City, Wednesday, Nov. 26, 1952 Scheduled For Mrs. Goff Friday Afternoon -Funeral services for Mrs. Josephine Morris Goff, 73, who formerly associated with the matics department of KSL for 10 years, will be conducted Friday at- 12:15 p.m. in Laurelcrest Ward chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints, 2051 Ramona Ave.

The services Mrs. Goff Mrs. Goff will be conducted by Bishop Harold G. Hardy. Mrs.

Goff, who was also active In church and civic affairs, died Tuesday at 2:45 p.m. at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Eugene (Mary) Cardwell, 1757 S. 19th East, of natural causes. She had been president of the Primary Assn.

in Granite Stake and was active in promoting the Primary Children's Hospital. Mrs. Goff was also a member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Active in dramatics, she had directed the pageant at the University of Utah Stadium for Covered Wagon Days in 1938 in addition to her work at KSL. In 1899, she was graduated from the University of Utah and from 1901-02 studied dramatics in New.

York City. She had taught school in Richfield and Salt Lake City, A daughter of Elias and Mary Parry Morris, she was born Oct. 22, 1879, in Salt Lake City. On May 23, 1904, she was married to George Arnold Goff in the Salt Lake Temple. He died in August, 1940.

Surviving are five sons and daughters, E. Arnold and Wayland Goff and Mrs. Cardwell, all of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Harry E. (Virginia) Howe, Murray, and Mrs.

Frank (Kathryn) May, Bountiful; nine grandchildren; a brother, George Q. Morris, and sister, Nellie Morris, both of Salt Lake City. Friends may call at 2350 E. 13th South. Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m.

Death was apparently due to a heart ailment.

For over 25 years, Mr. LaDue was editor and owner of the American Fur Breeder Magazine, which he founded. Through his publication and by his lifelong work, he became a leader in the fur breeding industry. Mr. LaDue was born in September, 1887.

Among survivors are his widow, Mrs. Marguerite LaDue, and three sons, John, Jay and Billy LaDue, all of Duluth. Funeral services and burial will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in Duluth under direction of the Johnson Mortuary there. The family requests no flowers be sent.

Owen Carter, 73, former Utahn and founder "ot Intermountain Life Insurance Company, died Tuesday at his home in Los Angeles of a heart ailament. Mr. Carter was a graduate of the University of Utah and had taught school in American Fork and Lehi prior to entering the life insurance business in 1911. In that year, he founded the Intermountain Life Insurance and in 1928 became president of the firm. In 1922, the company was sold to the California Western States Life Insurance Co.

Ot that time, Mr. Carter retired and moved to Los Angeles where he has since resided. At the time of his death the former Utahn was director oft the California Western States and several other companies. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Juliet Cutler Carter, daughter of the late Thomas R.

She was born Oct. 12, 1875, In Bern, Switerland, a daughter of Johannes and Rosina Burl Buehler, and while young woman came to the United States as a convert the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In November, 1898, she married to Albert Richard Campbell in Logan Temple. He died in 1904, and in Jung 1914. she was married to Robert B.

Gunnell. Mrs. Gunnell Mr. Gunnell died in 1835. Mrs.

Gunnell had been active in church work, and was a member of Bountiful Second Ward at the time of her death. From 1922 to 1949 she lived in the Second Ward in Salt Lake City, where she was active in Relief Society work. Shel is survived by four sons, John A. and M. Richard Campbell.

Algie Porter Knight Algie Porter Knigt, 57, employe of the University of Utah, died Wednesday at 7:20 a.m. in Salt Lake hospital of natural causes. His residence was 616 Girarrd Ave. Mr. Knight, native of Athens, was born Feb.

2, 1895, a son of Andrew Jackson and Elizabeth Stallter Knight. He had lived -in Salt Lake City for the past 17 years, coming here from Athens. He was a painted by occupation. Active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints, he was member the Seventies group of Salt Lake Twenty-eighth Ward. On July 15, 1915, he married Ila Udella Gardner at Athens.

John T. Kephart John Thatcher Kephart, 66, of 733 E. 4th South, prominent retired wholesale drug firm manager, died Monday noon at his office, 140 W. 2nd South, of coronary thrombosis. Mr.

Kephart was born Nov. 9, 1886, in Durango, son of George W. and Utah Elizabeth about Wishart 1900. He Kephart, was and came to manager Smith-Faus Wholesale Drug Co. for 20 prior to his retirement about six years ago.

He was a member of Progress Lodge 22, and A Utah Consistory and York Rite Bodies and El Kalah Shrine. On Sept. 24, 1912, he married Margaret. Moriarty in Green River, Wyo. She surves him.

He was 75. Mr. Parmelee was born Dec. 25, 1876, in Youngstown, 0., a son of Charles Perry and Exantha McKay Parmelee. When he was a small child his parents moved to Michigan where they lived for three or four years.

Later the family moved to Rochelle, where he attended public schools. He attended Northern Illinois Normal School. He worked in Rochelle until 1907 when he came to the site; where Aberdeen was located and was associated with Bothwell and McConaughy in early day land clearing and development. In 1911 he settled in Springfield where he had farmed. The same year he married Winstead Davie of Anna, the first school teacher in Springfield.

He is survived by two daughter, Jeannette E. Powell, Springfield: Jane W. Parmelee, San Francisco: a sister, Jane Parmelee, Cheago, and four grandchildren. Funeral services were to be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Springfield Chapel, Church of Jesus Christ be of Latter-day Saints.

Burial was to in Grove City Cemetery, Blackfoot. Elsie M. Olsen CENTRAL, Sevier County Elsie M. Olsen, 94, Sevier County died at the Sevier Valley Hospital in Richfield Monday at 11:30 p.m. of causes incident to age.

She was born Feb. 21, 1858, In Gylling Scov, Denmark, a daughter of Jens and Elsie Marie Jensdatter Frandsen. She was converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Chris Poulson, Richfield LD missionary who was on a mission to Denmark. After her conversion she came to the United States and lived with the Poulson family for some time. She was 20 old when she migrated to this county.

On Feb. 21, 1833, she was married to Peter Olsen at Richfield. The couple made their home in Richfield until 1897 when they moved to Central where Mr. Olsen was farmer. He died Oct.

12, 1940. Survivors include two sons, Walt and Frands Olsen, both of Central; a daughter, Mrs. J. L. (Elsie) Despain, Venice, Sevier County: a sister, Mrs.

Francis Jensen, California; 13 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Neal S. Magleby Mortuary Chapel by Delbert Ence, bishop of the Central S. Ward.

Moellmer, pert, died Monday night at Garden City, N. of a heart ailment, according to word received here Tuesday. She had been visiting at the home of daughter, Mrs. Harold Blackman, since last March. She became ill suddenly and died en route to the hospital.

Born April 3, 1875, in Scipio, Utah, she marired Louis Eugene McArthur. Sept. 5, 1900, in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Temple at Manti, Utah. They came to Rupert in 1943. Since the death of her husband in March, 1945, she divided her time between her daughters in New York and Rupert.

Mrs. McArthur was a lifelong member of the LDS Church, a member of the Rupert Woman's Club and the Mothers Club of Garden City. Survivors include- Mrs. Moeller, Rupert, and Mrs. Blackman, Garden City; two sisters, Mrs.

The couple moved to Bunkerville, where Mr. Hunt resided as boy, In 1921 he sold his ranching interest in Nevada and moved to Roseworth, living there until 1925 when he bought a farm near Buhl.

Since his retirement In 1940, Mr. Hunt has spent part of each winter doing temple work in Southern Utah and Arizona. He served two years on an LDS mission and had been stake Sunday School superintendent for the Moapa Stake in Nevada. She was married to Emanuel Seefried Nov. 30, 1894, -in Russia. The couple came to the United States in 1903. They settled first in Eureka, D. where they farmed, coming to Aberdeen in 1910.

They settled on homestead 10 miles northwest of town. In 1930 they purchased the Jasman place where they lived, until 1938 when they retired. She was member of the Lutheran Church. She was mother of 13 sons and daughters, eight of whom survive: Christ Seefried, Culver City, John Seefried, Buhl: Carl and Emil Seefried, American Falls; Mrs. Christina Seefried, Blackfoot; Mrs.
